Now I have another beef with Vista. My 30GB MP3 player is messing up so I called Philips tech support. The player is fine it just needs to be reset...you can't use the repair programs without XP. They don't have any upgrade for Vista so I must waith until I visit my mother for Christmas because she has XP (my dad has Vista as well plus waiting for him to return will take longer even if he did have XP). As soon as possible I am going to go back to XP (right now I can't afford to get it).

i enjoy vista and my comp only has 512 mb of memory. I think XP is superior but have no problems with Vista even with the minimum memory. Until i c consistant problems with my comp i will keep it wjere its at cuz this comp runs better then any i have been on...

First my 30GB MP3 player and now my 8GB is on the fritz. Both worked O.K. with Vista but after a while...caput!!! I got to the point that I betrayed my budget so I could have XP again only to find my computer won't let me install it because I have Vista!!! Because I opened the package I can't get my money back so I am backing up all my pictures and music (times like these I'm glad I don't have 1000s of CDs) and I'm just going to wipe out the hardrive and start from scratch. In the meantime I bought a 2GB player-hope it works with Vista. I guess I'm still lucky to have gotten XP seeing as some stores have disocontinued selling them (Circuit City for instance). I got the XP from Wal-Mart using my discount after trying to find it cheaper somewhere. Office Depot wanted $188 for the home edition!!! Daylight robbery on their part.
