That's the one with the infamous eyeball into the splinter scene isn't it?

And don't forget the zombie vs shark scene.

My third favorite zombie movie after DOTD and NOTLD. No joke.

"Cooties" (2014)

Contaminated cafeteria chicken nuggets (!) turn grade-schoolers into a horde of flesh eating zombies, and a group of teachers trapped inside the school with them must find a way out of the building before they're next on the menu.
I'm almost burned out on the whole "zombie comedy" genre but this one was better than expected.  Not only is "Cooties" funny as hell, it has a mean streak a mile wide, features an impressive cast that includes Elijah Wood (!), Rainn Wilson, and Jorge ("LOST") Garcia, and it doesn't skimp on the gore.  Sick, action packed fun!

Never heard of that one.  But I'm not just burned out on zombie comedies, I'm burned out on zombies PERIOD. Thanks a lot Walking Dead for suddenly making zombies "cool" and thereby causing Hollywood to completely oversaturate the genre.

I think the last zombie movie I saw was that one with Woody Harrelson which everyone loved but I thought was pretty "meh" - Zombieland or something stupid like that.

So tired of zombie movies.

"Zombieland" was a lot of fun. Another one I liked recently was "Scouts' Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse."

Nowadays I enjoy comedic zombie flicks more than "straight" ones that still try to be "scary." Zombies haven't been scary in decades. Very Happy

I'll pass.  I'm so over zombies.  Funny or not.  The whole concept now just makes me roll my eyes.  Any time someone recommends a movie and they mention the "Z word", I'm out.

Rabid (1977)

David Cronenberg film with porn star Marilyn Chambers as a motorcycle crash victim receiving experimental surgery which ends up giving her an opening in her armpit that houses a stinger. She acquires a taste for blood and the stinger is her way of obtaining it. All her victims have no recollection of the attack and in time become rabid green foaming lunatics, attacking other people and spreading the disease throughout Montreal. This movie was one that had been on my watch list for quite some time. It was OK but nothing spectacular.

I don't think Rabid has aged very well.  It does contain the requisite Cronenberg "body morphing" motif however.  I swear he does that in every single one of his movies.

"The Adventures of Paula Peril" (2014)

Retro-flavored "B" movie junk about a two-fisted girl reporter who tangles with mobsters and a murderous religious cult. Think Lois Lane meets Lara Croft, on a budget of about twenty bucks.

This super-cheap looking indie B Movie was apparently cobbled together from three short films based on an obscure comic book series. It's fun watching "Paula" kick bad-guy butt while wearing tight sweaters and high-heel boots, but the flick suffers from cheap sets, howlingly silly dialogue and community-theater level acting. Lord knows I've seen worse, but I've also seen lots better.

The Uninvited (1944)

Ray Mill and Ruth Hussey as a brother and sister who discover and buy a secluded mansion on a cliff side overlooking the Celtic Sea despite rumors of it being haunted. Once they're settled in, they discover the rumors are true. This was a surprisingly good story and apparently, it was one of,if not the first Hollywood movies to showcase ghosts as real threats (not hoaxes, jokes, etc.).

Escape From New York (1981)

The John Carpenter classic set in the far flung future of 1997, with Kurt Russell as Snake Plisskin, a criminal offered a pardon if he'll enter New York City (a citywide cordoned off prison) and rescue the President being held hostage. Man, I love this movie. It never gets old.

"Alien Vs. Predator" (2004)

A research team investigating a newly discovered ancient pyramid beneath Antarctica (?) discovers too late that they've stumbled into a Predator training ground, and they are now caught in the middle of the hunters' ongoing battle with the Aliens. Puny humans die, much xenomorph butt is kicked and lots of slime is spilled.

Paul W.S. Anderson's franchise-crossover monster mash spends waaaaaayyyy too much time on setup but once the two critters start beatin' the crap out of each other it's entertaining enough in a big, dumb sort of way. The "AvP" comic books were way better than either of the films, though.

'Tickled' on HBO. A documentary on "competitive endurance tickling" that's even weirder than this trailer would have you believe...

That's "a thing"?  Seriously?  As if I needed more proof that I'm old.

Well, it is and it isn't. If you have HBO, you really need to see it. It's bizarre for sure.
