Watching the Music City Bowl from Nashville.

What I find interesting is that if the Nashville ads are true apparently it hasn't changed much since I lived there back in the mid 80s. †I swear you could walk around downtown Nashville back then and in a span of about 4 blocks, you could find any style of music you wanted to hear. †They just ran an ad saying about the same thing. †

Nashville may be famous as a country music town but the clubs there are anything but. †It's a great place to visit if you are a fan of music. Period.

I'd like to visit Nashville someday.

Penguins and Hurricanes are getting ready to start.

Now on to The Cotton Bowl.

Good matchup in this one, Ohio State vs USC. I can't stand "THE" Ohio State so I'm pulling for USC.

Taxslayer Bowl

On a side note, I like the new All State commercials with the "Mayhem Guy" saying he's making a resolution to not cause mayhem anymore.† I like the one where he's a road flare and the road worker says "You mean you're not going to set anything on fire?".† Then the ads end with "Resolutions are made to be broken" so obviously he's going back to mayhem somewhere down the line.

Fiesta Bowl

If Washington's defense would actually make plays they could win this game.† 35-21 Penn State going to the fourth quarter.

Red Zone is the only thing that makes the NFL watchable for me.† Most of the time I get games I don't give a rip about but with RZ I can see the important parts of every game and there are no commercials.† Fortunately it comes with the Sports Tier I pay my cable company $10/month for.† So does MLB Network which I watch constantly all year.

I just checked and right now I'm getting the Falcons/Panthers (which at least is a decent matchup but two teams I don't care about) and the Chiefs/Broncos which is a snoozefest matchup.

The Niners are spanking the Rams but I can't really enjoy it because the Rams are playing a lot of scrubs.

RZ is saying it looks like we will have 8 new playoff teams this year.† That's pretty amazing.

Phillip Rivers is torching the Raiders.† He already has over 350 yards passing and 3 TDs and it's not even the 4th qtr yet.

I'm watching Carolina and Atlanta. The Panthers look like they'd rather not even be playing this game. Cam Newton has a QB rating of 30.

Cincinnati vs. Baltimore is turning into a really exciting game. I'm kind of hoping the Bengals pull of a comeback on this final drive and Buffalo slips into the wildcard spot.

I didn't realize the Bills had the longest post-season drought of any team in the four major North American sports.† Now it's the Seattle Mariners.

That was hilarious to see the Ravens blow that game. As division rivals, I love seeing them lose. On the flip side Baltimore has always been able to give the Patriots fits for some reason. That would have been helpful in the playoffs.
