Today I watched the Jays lose a heartbreaker to Evil Empire #2 (aka the Red Sox).

Great pitching duel until the Sox hit a homer in the top of the ninth.  But lo and behold the Jays hit one of Craig "I like to 'Hulk Up' Kimbrell" in the bottom half to tie it up.  But then the Jays pen blew it in the 10th and Boston won 4-1.

I'm not a Jays fan per se but I hate the Yankees and Boston.

Watched the Penguins eliminate the Blue Jackets. Fleury outplayed Bobrovsky, turning away 49 of 51 shots. Now to wait for either the Caps or Maple Leafs.

Watching the Cardinals/Brewers game.

If I was the Cardinals manager I'd tell Carlos Martinez to lose those stupid-looking dreadlock extensions he's started wearing.  His first two starts this year were great and decent respectively.  Then he started sporting these goofy platinum dreadlocks and he's sucked ever since.

Tonight he got whacked around for 5 runs in 5 1/3 innings.  Last time out against the Yankees he struck out 11 but walked 8 and gave up 5 runs.

He's "reverse-Samson"; the longer hair is making him suck.  Go back to normal hair and watch the starts get better.

I have no idea why he thinks that's a good luck in the first place.  It would look goofy enough if the extensions were the same color as his regular hair but instead they're this stupid platinum/silver color.  Dumbass.

And his downfall this season all began when he started sporting those stupid things.

Watched the Pirates beat the Yankees 6-3. Looks like my schizophrenic team is now on it's sweep upswing.

Cubs vs Reds on MLB Network.

Waiting for the start of the Cards/Brewers game.

That really is unbelievable.   I see the Pirates are currently tied with The Evil Empire 5-5.

Yeah but now they've blundered their way to an 8-5 deficit. I think the sweep cycle is broken.

And the Pirates lost 11-5. Too bad, that game started out so well for them.

Cards won again today 6-4.

It was 6-2 going into the 9th thanks to another strong start by Mike Leake but then they decided to use Fatboy Broxton to close it out and he was his usual self, 0 IP, 1HR and 2ER allowed.  Oh had to come in for the third day in a row to bail him out.

Geez Broxton sucks!  I have no clue why the Cardinals renewed his contract.  He's terrible.

I got to watch the Pirates eke out 2-1 win over the Yankees. Ivan Nova pitched a stellar game and the bullpen, despite making things rather hairy, was able to close it out.

Well, I started to watch the Cubs and Pirates but Chad Kuhl's getting knocked around, Osuna misplays a routine fly ball with bases loaded and it's 7-1 Cubs in the second inning. Ouch. Time to find something more entertaining to watch.

I'm really starting to hate the Cubs.

Mainly because everyone (including themselves) have already dubbed them the 2017 Champions.

If they would just shut up and play ball, I'd be OK with them.  But between the media fawning all over them and Maddon....

My previous indifference is wearing thin and the "Maddon Factor" just makes it worse.

I was never a big fan of the Cubs to begin with, but I'm falling right in line with you on the hatred. I just hope the Bucs can take 2 of 3 from them.

Cubs at Pirates. Cole is pitching a great game but due to an error, the Pirates are down 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th.

And that was the final. The Pirates just couldn't get anything going and wasted a great outing by Cole. This is becoming a disturbing trend.

Cubs at Pirates. The Pirates are currently winning 2-1 but they have the extremely shaky Tyler Glasgow pitching. He's loaded the bases two innings in a row.

Mercifully, after committing 4 errors including the game winning one that resulted in a 6-5 loss in 11 innings to the team with the worst record in MLB, the Cards are rained out tonight.  Split doubleheader with the Blue Jays tomorrow.

The Pirates just pulled a double shift and brought in the first player in MLB from Africa, Gift Ngoepe (that's not a typo).

Oh and I know this will shock you baseball fans, but ESPN is broadcasting the Red Sox/Yankees game. They never show their games!

I saw on MLB Central that they'd brought him up.
