Voivod. Criminally underrated, yet with a very strong fanbase. Piggy was the most innovative guitarist I have ever heard. Coupled with Snake's distinctive vocals, Away's crushing drumming and art work, Voivod were (and are) simply amazing.

Which is your favorite studio album?

I think my favorite is Killing Technology. The band were at a crossroads from the more noisy earlier period to the more technical period. Excellent album.

i can't really get into voivod and only own 2 albums (nothingface and voivod) but out of the 2, i like voivod better

I'm going to be the lone weirdo who says Angel Rat. A lot of folks don't like that album, and you didn't list it, but it's really my favorite.

From the ones I have heard, my favorite is Dimension Hatröss.

Probably Dimension Hatröss or Nothingface. I also like Outer Limits the unlisted Angel Rat. In reality, I like all Voivod's stuff. They are just weird and sound like no one else, even in their early thrash years.

A band that come from Saguney Lac-St-Jean like me! It's probably the only Metal band in Saguney Lac-St-Jean to be so huge!

Personaly i never have been a fan of VOIVOD. I like their early stuff, like their early demos (VOIVOD, MORGOTH INVASION...) and first two albums.
D V O D 1 is a cool dvd from 2005 that any VOIVOD fan should own.

i prefer tyhe first two out of all of them, but i was never really turned on by Voivod. i can take them or leave them.

I picked Nothingface, but DH is a great album as well.

I also like thier lastest two, Voivod and Katorz. Haven't heard anything outside of those four.

i will vote for dimension hatross cos it is the only voivod album i have but the few songs i have heard from killing technology are awesome

Angel Rat

Killing Technology for me. It was the album that really kept their thrash sound from early albums, but refined it with their growing technical and progressive tendencies. Dimension Hatross would be a very close second.

My brother was (and still is) a huuuuuuuge VoiVod fan growing up, I could take'em or leave'em most of the time back then. They had some songs I dug but others were just "ehhh."

Although a couple of years ago I picked up a used copy of THE OUTER LIMITS for myself and enjoyed the hell out of it. It's the only VoiVod CD I own at the moment, so I guess I gotta vote for that one.
