| Speaking of deer, my uncle sent me some venison sticks (equivalent to beef sticks) for Christmas a while back and I fininshed them in a couple of weeks (deeeeelicious), hope I get more this year. |

| Do you know what is meant by beef jerky? It's basically (in my experience ) a more cylindrical shaped "stick" of beef. One brand is Slim Jim...there are others. It's another way of saying jerky... Poor FatFreddy wanted so bad to make a phallic reference.....he's disturbed!

Beef jerky is little different than a beef stick. Jerky is meat that has been dried out so it wouldn't spoil like regular meat (staple in the diet of native americans, pioneers, and explorers). A beef stick is, as scottmitchell74 said, like a Slim Jim. |

It's my first buck! And the best part of all, my 10 year old son Luke was with me. He was SOOO stoked! As I was field dressin' him, cutting around the..um...rocky-mountain-oysters??! Yeah, dang, I felt a little small lets just say! LOL! So, he had the last laugh I guess. Have a great Thanksgiving everybody! I'm off all next week! |
