MEGADETH
IN FLAMES
CHILDREN OF BODOM
JOB FOR A COWBOY
HIGH ON FIRE

I've been to the last two. I want to the second one to see OVERKILL as
much as I did to see MEGADETH. I got to meet Overkill for the second
time, so it was worth it.

The first Gigantour was excellent as well. Nevermore were awesome, even
if they only had time to play six songs. Symphony X were good as well.
Megadeth annihilated on both tours. Dream Theater, who I have seen
before and enjoyed, were boring as the co-healiner. I was literally
falling asleep watching them, so I got up and went to buy a drink
during their set.

Children of Bodom and In Flames are good bands. I don't know that I will go to see this tour though.

I'll be glad to skip this one too! Not one good band to me.

High On Fire and In Flames and Megadeth? That's a great line-up right there. Children of Bodom make it even better. Job For A Cowboy are turdilicious, though.

Megadeth would be my sole reason for going to this one (I didn't see them perform at the first one because the light show from the DT set made my friend who was with me sick) though I do like In Flames and Children Of Bodom. I really enjoyed the DT set at the first one despite what people like Ultmetal thought (but again, they were different performances). I really wanted to go to the last one for Opeth and Overkill but the damn concert wasn't anywhere near where I live.

Decent line up. I wonder if Gigantour will ever reach the UK? It was meant to, but it's yet to happen.

I wouldn't mind checking out this tour to see CoB, Megadeth and High On Fire. The last two haven't came anywhere remotely close to me so I'm doubting this tour will.

What the hell kind of idiotic band name is "Job for a Cowboy" anyway??
That's not a band name, that's a "help wanted" listing in the classifieds!

Children Of Bodom and High On Fire eh? From just those two bands, this might be worth checking out for me.

I'm usually skeptical about any band with more then two words in their name.

Sounds more like a line from Brokeback Mountain to me. Very Happy

i like all of those bands except High On Fire. In Flames & Megadeth aren't that good any more, but their early stuff is great.

i like Bodom & Cowboy just fine.

I'll probably pass on this one ... the only band I'd be interested in seeing is Children of Bodom - and they're not even a favorite.

I'll pass on this one too. I saw the first one with Symphony X, Nevermore, etc., and it's tough to beat that one IMO as I enjoyed it so much. Megadeth would probably be the only real highlight for me, and even then I'm not a huge fan of them.

Sounds OK, but not something I would spend too much money on, I think. I really like Megadeth (all though, they were one such Thrash band, I never got fully in to). In Flames are a mixed bag. Some of their stuff is really good, and some of it just sucks. I know it is usully the other way around, but I relly like the newer stuff like "Cloud Connected", "The Quiet Place" and the awesome instrumental, "Man Made God". At first I didn't like it at all, because of the shouted vocals, but those melodic leads and damn catchy chorus and verses kick ass. Children of Bodom...not a fan. Job for a Cowboy...the music sucks just as much as the name. (get the pun? Very Happy )

So seems my question got answered; Gigantour is hitting the UK this year. However, it is the biggest cop out ever. All they did was rebrand Megadeth's UK tour as Gigantour. I'll probably go because I want to see 'Deth again and Evile are a good support, but it's no Gigantour.

Hopefully they will go back to having bands with similar styles on the bill. I loved the first Gigantour lineup nothing will ever top that.

I was hoping for Trivium. . . anyway, is it a gigantour rule that your band can't be in the lineup twice?
