Hahaha, when I was in college we used to shop at a Pathmark that had an entire aisle of "generic" foods like this in the plain white packages ("Spaghetti," "Dog Food," etc.)... we used to see the generic "BEER" but were never brave enough to try it.
Which is really saying something because back then we filled our yaps with crap like Stroh's, Keystone, Crazy Horse malt liquor, and Midnight Dragon on a regular basis!!! |
That would be the "No Frills" line of products. I used to work/shop at Pathmark. The most curious/scary product was a little can with a pull top that was labeled "Potted Meat Product". I have no idea what potted meat is or where it comes from. And why label something as "product"? Is it animal, vegetable or mineral? The word "product" is a pretty expansive umbrella that can cover a whole rage of things. Windex is a product. Duct tape is a product. Pickeled pigs feet are products. If they can't nail down exactly what they are putting into that can, I ain't buyin' it. |

Reading that article just made it even less appealing. I didn't think that was possible. |

| I have never liked Kid Rock's music, saw him live opening for Aerosmith, it did nothing for me, but most of audience seemed to enjoy it. Never cared for the singals I have heard but you cannot argue with success, and I believe his last few albums have gone platinum so he proves he has staying power, but not my cup of tea. I saw Dallas Black comment on Kid Rock's politics, I could careless about an artist's politics, if I did I would throw out my entire Ted Nugent collection since I never agree with a thing the Motor City Madman has to say about politics. |

I've certainly enjoyed hi-jacking this thread into discussions of meat products, No-Frills beer and Sling Blade.

Since it was about Kid Rock you have performed a public service by kidnapping this thread. |
