| IRON MAIDEN, of the first four albums...
I love the first four Maiden albums. Classic metal doesn't get any better than this IMO. I often pick "Killers" as my favorite of the bunch, but at any time that can change to any of the others as well. All four were raw, heavy and still had a youthful energy and hunger. Which would you pick as your favorite of the bunch?

| Number has never been a favorite of mine. I like it, but not as much as most . The first 2 albums are great, but the production suffers. Out of the 4, Piece of Mind is my favorite. |

| Piece of Mind is my choice today. Tomorrow it could easily be Number of the Beast. But it'll NEVER be the first two because of Paul's vocals. |

I guess you had to be there. In the early 80's it wasn't about the production. Personally, I like the production the way it is. It's raw and crunchy and has that "vibe" I was talking about in my first post. Might be nostalgia talking, but I wouldn't change a think about the DiAnno albums.

| I suppose its all your perspective. Being in my early 30's, I came in on Live After Death. Some of these other old timers (a term of endearment) may remember when Killers actually was released. At that time I was more concerned with picking my nose and farting.
Wait, those are still important concerns for me. |

| Piece of Mind is not only my favourite Iron Maiden album, but it is also my all time favourite album by any band, any era.That said, all the albums listed are a classic in their own rights (which Iron Maiden album isn't? Even Virtual XI and X-Factor has their own unique moments of brilliance musically) |

| I voted for the debut as it has many iron maiden staples on there. ok the production aint great but it is more than made up for.
i dont have a favourite from those four as i like them all but the only one i dont care for so much is Killers IMO |

| ok now no-one get cranky becuas this is IMO but to me their is only two songs that stick in my mind being wraithchild and murders in the rue mourge. i could not name the rest because they all blend into one for me
that said its still an awesome album

I actually saw the vid for 'Run to The Hills' on MTV in 1982... Couldn't get that chorus outta my head... My cousin and I went to 'Big Ben's' and I bought it... WOW !!....
Then I bought 'Killers' and the 'Maiden Japan EP'.... Then when 'Piece' came out... it was even more over !!! Y'know I never actually owned the first Maiden disc. I've heard it a million times, borrowed from friends and such, but never plunked my cash down for it.... 'Phantom of the Opera' !!!! |

| Killers was the very first one I evere heard and owned, then I bought the first, and Maiden Japan, Then Beast came out, and I just kept buying from there on. Maiden has always been in my top 5, if not my favorite band of all time. and Killers absolutely blew me away the first time I heard it. If I had to put theses albums in order of preference:

Iron Maiden
