Number of the Beast is my Maiden home. I mean, Paul Di'Anno is great and all, but I've followed ol' Bruce for almost forever!

wow, very tough. hard to compare the first 2 to the 3rd and 4th. I think Number is the most straight forward heavy metal of the bunch, I love the Dianno albums . To me Piece Of Mind suffers the most production-wise; too tinny and not enough low end.
My fave by them is Powerslave. They were such an awesome band in their hey-day, I'm sure the debates will go on forever. Most of the greatest bands of all time tend to start many arguments about their best albums.

I voted for Iron Maiden's debut...

1. Iron Maiden
2. Number of the Beast
3. Piece of Mind
4. Killers

Prowler is easily my favorite song among these 4 albums. I think that Iron Maiden's debut thumps their Killers, where as I see Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind in a dead heat. I've always been a fan of Di'Anno's vocals, and the riffs were amazing on the first album. The first three albums are all pretty close for me, but Iron Maiden by a photo finish...

I voted for 'Killers' love the songs, Paul D'ianno sings with such attitude, I love all four albums but I had to go with ' Killers' also musically a very diverse album when you can go from Murders in the Rue Morgue to Prodigal Son. Dave Murray makes his debut on this album almost completing the classic line up.

The first Maiden I ever bought was "Piece of Mind" but 'Killers' is my favorite. The title track alone is worth the price of admission.

Piece Of Mind for me. I really like the debut and # Of The Beast. Killers is ok IMO, I have it on my ipod, I'll have to listen to it at work.

It's a complete toss up between Killers and The Number Of The Beast for me, they are almost dead even. But since Beast was the first one I actually owned (saw the video of the title track on HBO's Video Jukebox) I went ahead and voted for that one.

Piece Of Mind has some classic songs, but I'm probably more burnt out on that record than any other.

POM slays. Number has some killer songs but is a little uneven to me and I just didn't get into Paul's voice that much.

Number of the beast, bruce sounds better and angrier then ever on
that one! Good stuff on pice of mind to but mot 100%

They are all great, but Piece of Mind wins out on sentimentality.
