Kurt and ult,

On kmorg's review of Released Upon the Earth, he states Simon Dawg is George Ochoa, but ult's review says Simon Dawg is Jimmy P. Brown. Who is correct?

Not a disagreement with a review on ULT's site regarding "Calling All Stations" by Genesis, I just wish he would given a more in depth review of the disc.

Good question! I think ult might be correct. But I wonder where I got my info...... I'll check it out further.

Weird, Encyclopdia Metallum lists him like this:

Simon Dawg (Jimmy Brown) (Deliverance, Mortification (Aus), Recon)

Clearly it used to say Geroge Ochoa here too (look at the bands he's been in), but someone changed it to Jimmy later on..... Now I'm confused....

Well, being a bit of a Ted Nugent fanatic, I guess I can be a bit biased. I like all those albums to different degrees. I personally think Nugent is a great album. Sure, production is thin, but it was the 80's.

I went back and listened to " Nugent" last night, I had soften my opinion somewhat. I still feel thet you like it better than I do, but there are Ted Nugent classics on their like " Good and Ready" "NO NO NO" and his riffs are solid. Also it was nice to see Derek St Holmes on vocals, not his best work but it is better than I remembered. Best of all no keyboards which would dominate the next Nugent platter. The production is thin but I have a feeling this record label guys trying to make Ted Nugent more radio friendly.

I originally had George Ochoa on my site many years ago, but Jimmy Brown set the record straight.
