| | Quote: | Hello Everyone,
It looks like writing has begun on the new Bride CD. All of your suggestions, opinions and advice about the future of Bride have been taken into consideration. Bride cares about everyone that has supported us. We also pay careful attention to your thoughts and this motivates us when it comes to what we write and release. So with that said, Bride's next CD is going to be a mystery. We plan on posting work songs on a special site very soon to get your input.
We have talked about a fan financed CD and this will be a reality.
It will work something like this. We will determine a dollar amount for anyone who wishes to be part of this CD making process. This contribution to the CD will then open up many privileges for those who wish to take part.
A secret web site will be designed with a secret URL. To keep it special is up to you. It will be your money that goes toward this privilege. On this secret web site Bride will post EVERYTHING. This means, work demo's, roughs, early mixes etc. You will be free to listen to and download these work songs and hear how the CD is coming together from rehearsal to rehearsal. Plus we will share information with you not privy to the public. Once again you will be responsible in keeping this unique and specific to you alone by not sharing the information.
Once we set a dollar amount we will send out another Press Release and start our data base of Unique Bride Fans.
Stay tuned for more samplings soon….

| Does that mean that when the album is produced it will be free? The band won't have to recoup anything if fans pay for it. |

| (band discussion after fan money comes in) Ok, we'll get three, non-fat lattes and a double tall, caramel mocha. Now with the other $26.42 what should we do? |

| In this day and age, I'm surprised more bands aren't doing this. |

| A unique idea if nothing else. But one has to wonder how much money fans will actually pay to support the album's creation - and then pay again to own it. |

That's a great point - never even thought of that. Like Scott said above, the arrangement could be trouble. |

| I think they should publish the names of all the benefactors so at least we will know who to blame when it sounds like it was recorded in my truck going 60mph with the windows down Bride for me is over. I used to be the collector, get everything stuff, but after This is It that name truly summed up how i feel about bride... Alex _________________ |

| Interesting concept in theory, but suppose a whole bunch of people donate $$ so they can make the album, then those people HEAR the album, think it sucks, and ask for their $$ back??
This could get ugly very quickly. I suggest they fugeddaboudit. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

You can never go back, I guess, and their still a good band! |
