I don't hear that at all. All I hear is a Led Zep meets Hellacopters sound.

But that's based only on samples. I'll return here and post a more thorough review once I've actually listened to the whole album.

the second to last sample ken posted has that queen guitar sound to it - at least in my ears..

The Wolfmother connection is mostly in the vocals and the "retro" vibe both bands give off. Yea, I'd agree that Wolfmother tends to slide in and out of sludgy/doomy territory on occasion, whereas Parlor Mob pretty much sticks to bluesy rock n roll.



I'm not sure I get any Queen-like vibe to any of their tunes, but I'm not as knowledgable on their material.
