That was pretty much my reaction too. |
it has bits and pieces of a Queen guitar vibe which dont do anything for me._________________ |

I don't hear that at all. All I hear is a Led Zep meets Hellacopters sound.
But that's based only on samples. I'll return here and post a more thorough review once I've actually listened to the whole album. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

The Wolfmother connection is mostly in the vocals and the "retro" vibe both bands give off. Yea, I'd agree that Wolfmother tends to slide in and out of sludgy/doomy territory on occasion, whereas Parlor Mob pretty much sticks to bluesy rock n roll.
I'm not sure I get any Queen-like vibe to any of their tunes, but I'm not as knowledgable on their material. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007
