| The only concept album from Iron Maiden. IMO this is perhaps Maidens finest hour (although this frequently changes with me between this and Piece of Mind). As well as a truly consistant album with no filler (Proved by the number of hit singles the album produced) this was the first Maiden album I heard and what started my love affair with this band. Thought please fellow Maiden fans. |

| A very underrated album in my book. I'll be honest, though, I have never really tried to understand the "concept"/story of the album. I just treat it as another set of stand-alone tunes. The album cover is one of my favorite Eddie paintings as well! It's actually kinda disturbing if you think about it. Eddie is giving birth and wasting away at the same time!! _________________ "God's the ultimate playa, so naturally He's going to have some haters," rapper Ice Cube said. | I'm the same, I've nver tried to understand the story. The album went no.1 in the UK but I think it was a little overshadowed in the US by Operation Mindcrime coming along the same year. Not sure though exactly how it did in the US charts though. |

| Seventh so of a seventh son. It is one of my favs and to me is up there with somewhere in time in my books. I bought it last year and I loved it right off the bat. I've heard some people say they don't like the Iron Maiden Synth albums, but I think they are fantastic and some great song writing there. |

| Good album choice.
SSOASS is a phenominal album. IMO, it sounds like a perfect cross between Powerslave and SIT. There's that typical Iron Maiden aggression (e.g. Moonchild is one of their fastest tunes.....love start-stop section in the solo....damn), but with a new-found (well, since SIT) sense of artistic craft. The compositions are longer and more complicated; the guitars are more layered (and who cares about synths); and the regular changes in tone make for a really emotionally/intellectually stimulating listen. I'd pay some serious coin to hear this album played in its entirety.
I've always found it strange how the tone in the Clairvoyant changes so drastically from the choruses to the verses.
Wicked sweet cover, too. |

| I didn't know it was a concept album, I have listened to the songs as individual songs, just like FATT FREDDY
Seventh son and powerslave are my favorite albums, because their songs feel heavier, but I like most of maiden's material. |

| Yeah, it does seem heavier on those two albums for some part. It's like they wrote a album that was half powerslave and half Somewhere in time. |

Is Bring Your Daughter on the Aussie release of Seventh Son? I have only seen it on No Prayer for the Dying. |

| not my favourite Maiden album, but there's a lot of great stuff on there. I always thought the concept was a little weak, and it's definitely a better album if you listen to it as a collection of songs instead. Infinite Dreams is one of the best tracks they ever did! |

| It'd have to be a re-release track. Maiden didnt record that song until well after Seventh Son was released. |
