| No Artillery This just can't be!! Hi friends, there have been no news on KIT due to the fact that my wife gave birth to our first child earlier than planned and we were totally busy with that. But now we have a not so positive news for you, cause unfortunately ARTILLERY had to cancel their show at KIT due to problems with the singer and bassist. The Stützer brothers want to express, that they are also dissappointed that they couldn’t work it out finally. Since there is not much time to book a good new band, we decided to put DESTRUCTOR on the position of ARTILLERY. This will make lots of fans happy that couldn’t get a ticket for the Friday show. The band will play a full headlining show on Friday and replace ARTILLERY on the Saturday and play some different songs than on friday. I hope you all will be satisfied with our decision. Next week we will also announce the complete running order including playing times on our homepage. Metal On, Oli + Tarek |

| Yea, I noticed that it's now "The EXALTED Piledriver." Once I saw this thread I went looking to see if there was a Piledriver web site, and was surprised to see how many other bands are out there using that name. I guess that the "real" Piledriver had to change theirs a bit to avoid confusion... |

| OK, Back from the dead Bands: Cauldron (formerly Goat Horn): very nice heavy metal surprise! New band which just released their first EP. Bullet: Decent AC/DC copy. They put out a cool show and also very cool band members! Twisted Tower Dire: Cool show, but nothing special either. They played my favorite TTD tracks like Axes and Honor so I guess I cannot complain Defender - fantastic show!!!!! Great attitude, they played with all ex and current members, and not only their own material, but also a Metal Church and Annihilator cover! The Exalted Piledriver: 2nd best band on festival for me! Great set list (Metal Inquisition, Piledriver, Sex with Satan, The Fire God, The Executioner, Metal Manifesto, Blood Bath). Gord is a legend!! We also took pictures with him while he was posing in his costume in front of the hall Destructor: Well, it was like Maximum Destruction album to me - a bit confused Cool show, great guys, but as they said, they did a lot better show at the warm up show. Lethal - a decent Queensryche copy on albums, and they didn't do much on stage for me either. To be honest, I only watched a few songs Sabbat - PERFECT!!!! One of the best shows I've ever seen! Martin sung like he did on the album, plues he's a frontman on Bruce Dickinson level! Set list included Do Dark Horses Dream of Nightmares, The Best of Enemies, Hosanna in Excelsis, I for an Eye and, for a the end, For Those Who Died. Diamond Head - I wasn't expecting much so I wasn't disappointed, but friends who paid more attention to their show said that they played really bad, the singer sung wrong, etc. Laaz Rockit - a very nice surprise after watching Live Untold DVD. Of course Coons' voice was far from albums sound, but it was a show with 110% energy, kinda reminded me on Anthrax with Belladonna two years ago. Standard set list: Euroshima, Last Breath, City's Gonna Burn, Bad Blood, Fire in the Hole, Shot to Hell, etc. People: Great!!! Metal market: Financial suicide again! It was cool to hold a 12'' with price 400 eur in my hands! (Warchylde) Overall: FANTASTIC FESTIVAL! |

| WOW! That looks like it was awesome! I would LOVE to have been able to dig through those CD boxes!!
I bet that Sabbat set was GREAT! Wish I could have seen them! Was it the entire original line-up of Martin, Andy, Fraser, and Simon? _________________ What a strange, strange freedom. Only free to choose my chains.

| Yes, it was an original Dreamweaver line up! Those CD boxes are deadly! I found stuff like Pyracanda (both albums) in excellent condition for 15 eur (didn't pick it because I spent my money on other CDs, which I (mainly) knew before - Inferior to None for 13 eur for example ). Also find both INC on Giant for 15 eur each, but those were bootlegs, as a thrash-specialist friend of mine said, so be careful with these. BTW, here you can see a original list of that guy, but he it's about 2 years old now and he has lots of new stuff ). |

First of all a huge thank you for this great weekend. This was the most peaceful KIT ever and also all the bands were really great. Actually, the Giant Records press of the two INC discs are the real deals. The ones on Vox Humana (and another 'label', but I can't remember the name of it) are the bootlegs. _________________ What a strange, strange freedom. Only free to choose my chains.

| Hmm, someone must be booting the original Giant presses now then. Great, gonna make it harder for me to score an ACTUAL original Giant press... Now that you mention it, though, I saw some INC discs on eBay recently that said they were Giant Records presses, and I thought they looked funny at the time. I've SEEN the original versions, though I don't own them. I'd like to have a good look at these boots. _________________ What a strange, strange freedom. Only free to choose my chains.

I know, with some stuff you can even blame the light when the picture is taken, I have never seen the originals of these (I though I had them, but he says different), so I couldn't tell.

mail the Saxon then and see what you think. he seemed to know that they were boots straight away. |

| Actually, Toxik will be playing these year, as KIT is organised twice a year, the bigger in april (10-11 bands usually) and smaller in november (7 bands). But it's sold out :)
The guy who said that those were boots also owns originals of them, and yes, they looked kinda funny. |

| Cool, see you there then! And more great news concerning the tenth edition of the festival!! ince we got tons of emails concerning the limited amount of tickets for the friday show in april 2008, we decided to do both days now at the big hall in Lauda-Koenigshofen, so we will have enough tickets for all the fans wanting to come to KIT. So we will strengthen up the Friday a lot more and it wont be a warm up show anymore. We will do this only for our jubileum KIT X as a special gift for all the true underground fans from all over the world. We will now have 6 or 7 bands playing on friday with starting time 4 or 5 pm. We will only sell tickets for both days for 30 Euro and there will be daily tickets only at the doors. Presale will beginn on November 3rd 2007 at KIT 9. We will have four (!) bands worth being the headliner on the Friday, so it will be a crushing show. Here is already the first addition to the Friday: HELSTAR will play in their classic Remnants Of War Line Up an european exclusive show and play the album Remnants Of War in its entirety. So we have the following billing for Friday now: TITAN FORCE (USA) HELSTAR (USA) (exclusive European Gig in "Remnants Of War Line Up" playing the album "Remnants Of War" in its entirety) ATTACKER (USA) (exclusive "Battle At Helms Deep" Show) + more Friday April 4th 2008 Lauda-Königshofen Tauberfrankenhalle Here is also the billing for saturday: KEEP IT TRUE X Reign Of The Tyrant JAG PANZER (USA) (Exclusive and ULTIMATE Jag Panzer show (min. 2h) plus very special surprise guest!!) MANILLA ROAD (USA) (Exclusive German Show/Mark Shelton back on Vocals!!) CAGE (USA) PHARAOH (USA) (Exclusive european show) CRESCENT SHIELD (USA) (Exclusive european show) DEMON EYES (FRA) BATTLE RAM (ITA) + 3 more (1 Co-Headliner!) Saturday April 5th 2008 Tauberfrankenhalle Lauda-Königshofen |
