| Big haul this weekend. Visited a store that was going out of business in downtown Albuquerque.
Motorhead - What's Words Worth? Steppenwold - 7 Megadeth - Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? (sealed) Britny Fox - s/t (sealed) Asia - s/t Killer Dwarfs - s/t Yes - 9021Live-The Solos Genesis - Duke Autograph - Loud and Clear
Most of these albums cost me $2 or less. A couple of them were less than $1.The Megadeth was the most expensive with a $15 price tag, but the entire thing thing was 50% off, so I ended up paying $7.50. The Motorhead was priced at $10, so it was $5.
Also picked up for Trog: Barren Cross - Rock for the King (original Star Song w/ pic sleeve) $2 Uriah Heep - Live (w/ tour book) $4
For my son: The Beatles - Let It Be Missing Persons - Color in Your Life
in the mail: Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny Judas Priest - Turbo Rainbow - On Stage Ted Nugent - Wango Tango (7" single) _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Yup. Some pretty good bargains there. I was surprised to find the Uriah Heep with the booklet in such good shape for so cheap. The Britny Fox was $2 and was still sealed. With the discount it cost me $1.
Not really a big Autograph fan, but I had to purchase 10 or more records to get the 50% off discount, so I snagged it out of the dollar bins. It's in great shape, so I figured I could always trade it or resell it if I don't like it.
"Duke" is one of my favorite Genesis albums. Always loved the silly cover art. It's one of those white covers that are usually tattered and torn, but this $1 copy isn't in bad shape at all. A few stains but I've seen far worse for much more. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

the bummer is that alot of used vinyl shops are going under I can go to The Bay area and find alot of goodies for deals but the traffic usually ruins the trip of the trip. |

| Oh my! What a weekend. Added a bunch of GEMS! A few I never thought I'd see in my collection... Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes - Call of the Wild (promo/sealed) Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes - Tooth Fang & Claw (promo) the top two were owned by Howard Kaylan of the Turtles. They came with a letter of authenticity signed by Howard that the albums were original promos owned by him. The letter is probably worth as much as the albums.
Ted Nugent - State of Shock (picture disc) Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo (still sealed) Ted Nugent - You Love Bands when They Play it Hard (bootleg LP) KISS - Egos at the Stake (vinyl bootleg/signed by Gene, Paul and Eric Carr!) Motley Crue - Too Fast for Love (original Lethur Records edition/still sealed) Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood Cheap Trick - Found all the Parts (10"/sealed) MSG - Built to Destroy Giuffria - s/t Black Sabbath - s/t (green label) Riot - The Privilege of Power Riot - Fire Down Under (signed by the entire band) Gary Moore - We Want Moore Kiss - Alive (autographed)
Had a few of my LPs autographed this weekend as well: Ted Nugent - Weekend Warriors Ted Nugent - State of Shock Ted Nugent - Scream Dream Damn Yankees - s/t Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes - Survival of the Fittest
and a couple CDs: Ted Nugent - Love Grenade (signed by the whole band) Dokken - Tooth & Nail (signed by Mick Brown) _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Don't know. Haven't even played it yet. Looked it up on-line and it seems to be highly sought after by bootleg collectors. I guess it has a couple songs that the band would not perform live again. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Now that vinyl is having a nice little resurgence I noticed that many new releases are coming out in 2-LP set editions. The new Motorhead is available that way and for the really brave...so is Death Magnetic.
I've been back on a vinyl kick recently myself, so far mostly filling up the holes in my classic rock collection. I haven't found much used metal vinyl around here yet. |

| I drove past dozens of yard sales today, never stopping at any. Then it happened... Just as I passed one in particular... I spy some dude pulling a record out of a huge cardboard box beneath an oak tree. At first, my brain is still focused on point B and I keep going. Then at the stop sign, the motor begins running upstairs, the proverbial "what if" kicks in, and before I knew it the wife is asking "what's wrong ?...why ya turning around ?" Pulling in front of the house, she elbows me "I knew it" and I just smiled big and bolted over to the box under the tree. The guy who was looking in it as I drive by said there wasn't anything good in there, go figure cause I walked off with 4 groovy scores. "Street Lethal" "Second Heat" and "Live Extreme Volume 1" by Racer X and M.A.R.S Project Driver
:metal: SHRED :metal: oh yeah (edit) I spent a whole 2 dollars in quarters |
