| wow Scott just scoped the number......never noticed that on the one I had in my hand at Hasting's. That was a screamin espresso I threw down the neck, but the feeling subsided once I returned to the vinyl section and got denied. _________________ |

| I just got my first turntable for christmas this year. I've been having a blast hunting for used records and cranking the hell out of 'em.
So far my collection consists of:
Theocracy "As the world bleeds" (Came with turntable on Christmas) Tourniquet "Psycosurgury" Blue disc Rush "Hemispheres" Molly Hatchet "Take No Prisoners" Ted Nugent "Double Live Gonzo" Ted Nugent "Scream Dream" Queensryche "The Warning" Stryper "Solders Under Command" Blondie "Best of" Johnny Cash "Best of"
I'll take pictures of these sometime, but right now I'm just too lazy. |

| Excellent start DevZor! All great on vinyl to blast loud, had most of them at one time. I had not heard of Theocracy before. The youtube clips sound alright. |

Cool. I'm assuming that's a re-issue. Did they put 'These Boots' back on there in it's unedited form? _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

It is a re-issue and they left "These Boots" off. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I'm assuming at some point Megadeth decided not to pay the royalties on These Boots? Or did they never have permission to begin with?

No, they paid the royalites. Lee Hazlewood collected plenty of money on the song, but after getting the checks decided he didn't like the changes the band made to the song and sued the band.
According to wiki: When the album started selling well, the writer of the song, Lee Hazlewood, began demanding that the song be omitted, due to its being a "perversion of the original". Dave Mustaine made the point that Hazlewood had been paid royalties for years before his complaint, but eventually omitted the song anyway _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Dave re-affirmed that in his book. They got the rights to do it, then some years after, Mr. Hazlewood had issue with it and they removed it from subsequent releases. Until, of course it was put back on with the bleeped out parts.
He also mentioned that on the next album where they covered 'I Aint Superstitious', Willie Dixon heard and liked the Megadeth version. Which probably translates to "He liked the royalty checks coming in and didn't care that lyircs were changed". _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| Willie Dixon is one of the coolest dudes in music history. I'm sure he was a total bastard, but that's one of the things I admired about him.
