Good ones indeed!
Shared the stage with Extol on both these tours. Still have my original pressing of Burial autographed by the band. Also have the backstage pass from the Albuquerque show. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

I've always liked Lightforce. Sure, definitely Maiden-worship (a little like Pegazus in the mid to late 90s), but there was always a diversity of ideas and sounds on both Battlezone and Mystical Thieves. It's not all that surprising that Mortification has gone on to incorporate different styles into their music, given that Lightforce did the same years ago.
Can't think of too many albums that haven't already been mentioned, though! Perhaps:
Neon Cross -S/T Saviour Machine -S/T Virgin Black -Requiem: Mezzo Forte Theocracy -Mirror of Souls |

| Lots of great bands. Rather than re-listing a lot of them, here are some that i did not see mentioned (or just didn't see): --Crimson Thorn I like all of them but Dissection is the best, imo. --Force 3 I really like this cd some reason. Still play it a lot --Six Feet Deep Struggle (Some don't consider this 'metal' but it ahsd a lot odf metal elements to it. If you had their ep cassette way back when, they were all metal) --Sacrificium great first cd |

| Listen to my band (signature), we're christian-y. But we're poor so even though we have enough stuff for two full-lengths we haven't been able to put out one yet. |

| Anyone mention Red Sea? Excellent blues rock in the vein of Badlands. I would also add Mainline Riders. |

Great list. This will certainly help me fill in the holes in my collection as well. Unfortunately, I didn't discover the plethora of great Christian metal bands that were out there until '92 or '93, and then we left for Japan, so I missed a lot. So thanks. I am surprised you don't have Saint on you list. |

| D's first 4 are ESSENTIAL metal albums. As is Ultimatum's entire discography. Believer's first 3 and VR's first two. The Crucified's full length albums, and also Tourniquet's first three and latest two. |

| Wow!
Everyone bringing up these old bands are bringing a bunch of memories back! I also really liked that band "Ransom" that had the metal chick singer. Both tapes that they had were pretty good (boy, speaking about tapes; we are going back!).
Also, the band Love Life had only one tape that I knew of but it was pretty good. Can't remember if someone brought up Angelica here, but liked them a lot back in the day. The band Fear Not was awesome, but they also had a tape before where they had a different name (can't remember right now). It was pretty good stuff as well. Novella was very melodic and had some good stuff. Zion was very cool as well. Liked the first Neon Cross tape alot, but didn't care for the "Torn" tape.
Another band I like a lot (but I'm not really sure if they are Christian or not) is Antithesis. Quality powerful stuff. Balance of Power (all) are fantastic.
And the list goes on and on... |

They're legends in my book.
Had the honor of recording with their bassist on our previous album.
One of my very favorite prog metal bands.

Killer, killer album! Having it as a proper, remastered CD makes the album even better. |
