| Immortal Souls - Winteriech ( A new favorite)
Amorphis - Tales From The Thousands Lakes ( A unique Masterpiece) Mortification (When they were DM)
In Flames (Clayman)
Arch Enemy (The new one is Thrashy, but I love it!)
Becoming The Archetype (Agree with ET, these guys are stellar and tight, tight!)
Ethereal Scourge (Worshipful Death Metal, just fantastic) Parameacium (Doom/Death masters) Demonic Resurrection (New favorites. I recommend them and find their brand of DM beautiful) Metanoia - (In Darkness and in Light - this one only. Perfect and wonderfully brutal yet melodic) |

Their first two albums are AWESOME. Too bad they're out of print. I do own Millennium (their second album), but I'm not selling it. |

| Yeah Monstrosity is one of the most overlooked death metal bands. I adore them. I have all their albums, thank goodness. |

| Impending Doom Indwelling Metanoia Pantokrator Becoming The Archetype Sacrificium (ETS is awesome but Cold Black Piece of Flesh is KILLER) Obliteration From The Shallows Feast Eternal Mortification Vengeance Rising - Destruction Comes God I LOVE DEATH METAL!! lol! And as far as the state of the genre today.....I couldn't love it more. I love the old school (Mort, Metanoia, Crimson Thorn) but todays progressive death and melodic death with core influences is fantastic too. My favorite genre for sure. |

Feast Eternal is awesome!
I think you got that Destruction comes mixed up with Released upon the earth though, destruction comes was still thrash and released was when there was death metal influence here and there. |

| No, I liked Released as well. But Destruction Comes is straight up death in my book. And darn good too! I think most of VR's stuff could go either way though. |
