| Any fans of this band? They don't seem to be very popular any more, but I like 'em quite a bit. Heavy, raunchy, Southern-tinged, rock and roll. Besides, ya gotta love a band that uses a chain-saw as an instrument! Now that's rock and roll! :metal:
1. Jackyl - s/t 2. Stayin' Alive (love this EP. The covers are outstanding!) 3. Relentless 4. Cut the Crap 5. Push Comes to Shove _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I liked their first album well enough, I haven't listened to it in probably 8 years or so though. I never thought it was so good that I had to try any of their other albums though. Jesse James and his new band, Dixie Inc., have a new album coming out. The single is getting some play on XM Radio's Boneyard station. It's a decent tune and about what you'd expect from him. |

| I saw Jackyl opening for Damn Yankees years ago, must've been '92 or '93. They were an OK live band I guess, but their whole redneck image (chainsaws, firing off shotguns on stage, etc.) was a little too goofy for me. Never bothered to pick up any of their CDs. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

This would now work against them in my mind as I swim in a daily pool of redneckdom. |

I saw them on this same tour.
I like the S/T and Push Comes To Shove but not much after that. The singer's voice annoys me after awhile. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

| I had their debut album on cassette tape. I liked the chainsaw gimmick. Never bothered to upgrade to cd or purchase anything else by them. The tape is long gone but I occasionally hear them on sattellite radio and don't change the channel, so I guess I like 'em at least a little. |

| I like these guys alot, there's just something about them that made 'em appeal to me, there's not one bad album in their discography. |

| I'm turning over a new leaf and trying to be positive, so I won't talk about how I think these guys aren't worth the pot they piss in. |

Don't base our opinion of Jackyl off that. I bought it used and quickly found out why it was in the used bin. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

| I liked Jackyl. It was always get the night started music at the time. Just good old raucous party music.
The chainsaw was cool. But unfortunately only a few weeks before I saw them live I saw the Jim Rose Circus. It kind of lost it's impact when you've earlier seen people juggling and playing football with a chainsaw. Simply waving it and revving it couldn't compare.
The buckskin loin cloths were also pretty hard to take as well. |

| Ah, Jackyl...one of my favorite bands. Have and love everything they've released except for Stayin Alive. The chainsaw is badass! :metal: Jesse's solo stuff is also really good. |
