| I prefer Bruce, but that said, I really do like the DiAnno albums. I put those on long before I even think about listening to the Blaze albums! |

They do to me unfortunately. I wish that wasn't the case though. |

| It just didn't allow them to strech to their full potential as musicians, Bruce solved that problem. |

| Having seen Maiden with Di Anno, I prefer what I heard live over the studio lps with him. I love the lps cause they were such a shot in the arm to what was going on musically. I prefer Dick Brucington... but I have trouble with him singing the older Di Anno songs. I voted for "remember tommorow" from the list. It showed a different side of what Paul brought to the table, kinda/sorta melodic. Laterz |

| Easily, Di'Anno has so much more raw power in his voice IMO. I love Dickinson Maiden too, but I prefer Paul's voice by miles. And those first two albums over everything else, so damn heavy. |

I agree with candlemass here, I doubt with Paul, Maiden would have been what they are today. |

Youre mistaking what I mean. Musically as a band, Maiden wouldve still evolved. Has nothing to do with Paul's career outside of Maiden. |

Paul was too screwd up for them to move forward. Apart from excesive drug use, he was always complaining that he couldn't go on and had to be forced to go on stage to perform. The rest of the band got tired of his destructive behaviour that they had to get someone else. |

| I could have voted for any of those songs, but the mellow Strange World is the one that sticks with me. I guess I like the Di'Anno era just 'cause it's got the NWOBHM feel to it. Bruce was more epic, great at what he did too. |

No, I guess Im not being clear enough with what I mean. Personality wise and everything else I agree with you Dallas. What Im saying about moving forward with Paul is that I doubt his VOICE wouldve restricted them from moving anywhere. |

Ok, so what your saying is that if he WASN'T screwed up they would have been able to move forward. Now I understand. |

I recently found out that Remember Tomorrow was written by Paul in tribute to his father as that was a phrase he was fond of saying. Peace. |

Negative!
Although I agree with that statement musically. Just not vocally. Paul doesn't hold a candle to Bruce in his prime IMO. |
Paul Dianno and Bruce Dickinson are night and day as far as vocal style and stage presence. I prefer the Paul Dianno era but IMO I don't think Iron Maiden would have became the international phenomenia they became if Bruce Dickinson didn't come on board. Bruce Dickinson does have a greater range and is your classic metal frontman. Paul Dianno is a street kid with a good set of pipes but his voice is raspier and his stage presence is understated. Both are great vocalist, and when Bruce left the first time I had mild hopes that they call Dianno back. I knew that was wishful thinking on my part but it would have been a better choice than Blaze. |
