Not a single U2 thread? I did a search, nothing came up, and I even looked through all the pages to see, but nothing. That's just....wrong. Anyway, U2 fans?

U2's early material was very cool but I am burnt out on them, so much media coverage in the last few years but the early years are really good.

That's me too. I loved Boy, War and other older stuff. With Joshua Tree, they just exploded and oversaturated the airwaves. The only "recent" U2 album I like is Achtung Baby. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

I own everything through Achtung Baby, and I still pull them out occasionally and give them a spin. Especially "Unforgettable Fire." I love the atmosphere on that album.

Some of the early stuff but they are too overrated for me to listen to the more recent stuff.

Big fan of the early stuff. Gloria is my favorite song and I like all the albums up through Rattle and Hum (but really only half of that). Achtung Baby was the album that turned me off to them.. It was never the same, IMO.

Achtung was their best moment. The rest I'm not too impressed with outside a handful of singles.

Have you dug back to stuff like War and Boy?
Other than those, I would agree with you. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."
