I can't do it. This is almost the best metal album ever made. The only thing that makes it a little deficient is the pointless cover of I Ain't Superstitious.

i think we can all agree its a classic metal album. i dont know if i would call it thrash meta but certainly power metal. megadeth would be thrashier on other releases

By the way, did anyone else hear the rumor that the kid in the video for Peace Sells is a young Jonathan Davis of Korn and the dad is Jello Biafra?

Anyway, tough call. Whilst I'd say 'Peace Sells' is probably my personal favourite, I think the best song is 'Good Mourning / Black Friday'. I've also always loved 'My Last Words'.

Hard to pick a favorite for me.This is my favorite Deth album.Just for the sake of voting I went with Devils Island.And for the record yes Megadeth are Thrash and this album is a perfect example of a Thrash album.

Heavy Metal has been redefined over they years. What we called metal in the 1970's has become "just hard rock".

Bands like Judas Priest, UFO and Saxon helped define heavy metal in the 70's and 80's, but now you have young fans arguing that Judas Priest and Saxon "are just hard rock".

It was only a matter of time before young history revisionists started to redefine 1980's thrash to something new. Megadeth were one of the band's that defined thrash metal, in much the same way the Priest defined heavy metal. "Peace Sells..." is almost universally accepted as one of the best thrash albums to come out of the whole movement. But hey, nothing wrong with a little historic revisionism. "Peace Sells" is power metal. So what does that make bands like Metal Church, Vicious Rumors and Meliah Rage that were actually called power metal in the 80's. Guess we can call them "just heavy metal".

I voted for "Peace Sells", because that is the song that initially got me into the band back in 1986, but "Wake Up Dead" is a close second. On any given day, I might change my mind regarding these two tunes. Great album!!!
