| I have always believed that the first 2 Maiden albums and the Soundhouse Tapes were somewhat punk influenced as that was what was going on in England when Maiden formed in the mid 70's. I am certainly not saying they are a punk rock band by any means, just that the drums, beats, and guitar tone reminds me of it. By comparison, the first Priest album is closer in style Sabbath's debut and some progressive sounding Zeppelin grooves. |

| Tough choice, but I went with Priest. Thinking back over the years, I've probably listened to more Priest than Maiden.

| Maiden is better at noodly, guitar harmony stuff. But I voted for Priest because they have better hooks and riffs. And, oh yeah! They INVENTED true heavy metal! |

| Iron Maiden all the way! And that puts the one vote ahead I only like one JP song that is "Breaking The Law" don't know why and their latest album is hugely disappointing for the band  |

| Years ago when I was a teen in high school, I'd have gone with Judas Priest.
Nowadays it Iron Maiden though.
They are both two of my faves though. |
