| Wow. Something went horribly wrong at Sunday School for Tom Araya. He just wasn't buying it when they told him that Jesus Saves. |

| I look at Slayer's lyrics like audio horror novels. |

The kids that do take them to heart make me giggle.
I used to take Garth Brooks' lyrics to heart, but I've since grown out of that. |

Well, that was Slayer's entire studio discography. Did anyone see the Metallica 'Die' one? It's as good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDLZix8NVjg |

Tom Araya is a Catholic, but says the whole "Satan" thing was not meant to be taken seriously at all. I guess he just views it as being like an actor in a movie. |

| They want to fool you into thinking they are singing about Satan and Hell. But they are actually saying "Lleh" and "Natas" backwards. I'm guessing these are some brands of babyfood or something that they are subliminally trying to influence us to buy. I'm always vigilant about these things so don't say you haven't been warned. |

| If I never went and saw Slayer when they first popped up in El Lay, I'd a missed out fer sures. The shows were far more brutal than the first few lps. I tossed them aside and a few years ago, went back and listened to what I missed out on. The lyrical content may be a gimmick, perhaps ? My belief is that one is accountable for all we do and say. |

| This is what I listen to nowadays to counterbalance my indulgence in devil rock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64PrPBOfqrQ&feature=related Neil Morse, former lead man for Spock's Beard. He went all Jesus on us. Quit the band, but still makes Spock-type music with a new outfit. Only difference is that Jesus is all over the place in the lyrics. Same quality prog though. Get on board with Jesus. It doesn't always have to be about the devil. |
