As far as historically though, we could probably go back past the time of Christ and then some.

You saw a few in the late 80's but the early 90's was when everyone decided to be individual and grown one. The went so well with flannel.

I dont know, but my dad used to have one for the longest time until when my grandparents came up for christmas and saw that my pep pep had one too...my dad ditched his because he didnt want to look my grandparents age..haha.

I got my goatee in '94. I can remember when it came. I was just sitting out on there on the porch minding my own, when BLAMMO! I had brand new facial hair. I've kept it ever since. A few times I've cut that smurfer off, but it makes my face look all kinds of huge without it. They say that this is just an illusion, but I sho' feel like a fatty without it. Hey, does this shirt make me look fat? No, your smurfin' fat face does. Ahahahahaha. lol.

I've sported a goatee, but it has been a while. Right now I have a soul patch in honor of my favorite character on "24".

I had a huge goatee in 2006, to the point that I got a few bin Laden remarks and trimmed it down. I had one as of 3 weeks ago and shaved that off and will probably grow it back because after years of sporting it from time to time, it just feels like it should always be there.

I've tried twice to grow full on beards, but man does it itch after two months.
