| Legendary British/American heavy metal trio RAVEN will release its new album, "Walk Through Fire", on March 25 in Japan through King Records. The CD was recorded at the Assembly Line Studios with engineer/mixer Kevin 131 ( PROJECT: FAILING FLESH, DECEASED, DYSRYTHMIA, GARDEN OF SHADOWS). RAVEN vocalist/bassist John Gallagherpreviously stated about the new CD, "It's the right combination of spontaneous lunacy captured with the sounds we've always wanted." "Walk Through Fire" track listing: 01. Intro02. Against The Grain03. Breaking You Down04. Under Your Radar05. Walk Through Fire06. Bulldozer07. Long Day's Journey08. Trainwreck09. Grip10. Running Around In Circles11. Hard Road12. Armageddon13. Attitude14. Necessary Evil (Japan-only bonus track) 15. Space Station #5 (MONTROSE cover) Check out the cover artwork below. RAVEN's last studio album, "One for All", was released in 1999 via Massacre Records. RAVEN performed on August 22, 2008 at Rockit Room in San Francisco, California. Also on the bill were STONE VENGEANCE and HELLHUNTER. Watch fan-filmed video footage from the concert below. Should be good, but the cover art sucks IMO... |

| Can't wait until this one is available. I've been waiting for new Raven for a decade!
The cover art is not that bad. It looks like a Raven cover. Has a similar vibe ot Live At the Inferno. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| WOOOOOT! :metal: It's about damn time!! The cover may not be great but I agree with Ult, it's got a LIVE @ THE INFERNO vibe to it. They've never been known for great album covers anyway. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

I thought their ARCHITECT OF FEAR album from '91 was pretty bad-ass... that one stands up admirably against the classics like ALL FOR ONE in my opinion. '97's EVERYTHING LOUDER and 99's ONE FOR ALL are pretty good too. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

Nostalgia aside, I think that Raven have released several stellar albums in the late 80's and into the 90's. Nothing Exceeds Like Excess (Combat Records) is a classic IMO. A real return to form after the push for commercialism with Atlantic Records. Architect of Fear, Heads Up, Glow, Everything Louder, One For All...all excellent metal albums. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Yea, GLOW is a good one... the production is a bit of a let down though. Love that cover of Thin Lizzy's "The Rocker." I saw them do that song live! :metal: As a matter of fact, I bought the GLOW disc from John Gallagher himself at that show. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

Yup. I've seen Raven twice and talked to John Gallagher for a while at both shows... he is definitely one of the coolest metal mofo's I've ever had the pleasure of hangin' with. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| Cool interview with John Gallagher about the new Raven album here:
http://www.powerlinead.com/metal
John sez that distribution deals for the U.S. and Europe are currently being sorted out for the new album.
He also posted on the "Loonie Board" (at the official Raven site) that they should be offering copies of the CD for sale through the site sometime soon to tide everyone over till it gets released outside of Japan. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| Why don't we all pitch in and buy a HoM copy? If 20 of us pitch in $2 a piece, we will have it covered! |

| Checked out the message board at Raven's site a couple of days ago and read that the first pressing of the new album is totally sold out... no word if there will be another pressing, or any news about a U.S. or European release yet. (kicks rock) ...I'm never gonna get to hear this frickin' thing am I? _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

When I was single and had plenty of disposable $ to piss away on imported CDs, I didn't have a problem with paying that much for a disc. (I willingly paid obscene prices for much of Raven's '90s stuff that was only available in Japan at the time...) Now that I'm all Married With Children and those dang kids need unimportant stuff like food, clothing and shelter, such expenditures are no longer do-able...

| Some guy on Raven's "Loonie Board" posted that he went looking for the new CD @ Amazon, and it is now listed as "No Longer Available" -- though he did find someone selling a used copy for $75!! John Gallagher posted this response yesterday : | John Gallagher wrote: | $75?? Geez!! believe it or not, we are working on a friggin deal for the album..and will keep everyone posted..its not that we have not had offers, its just that frankly the album deserves a little better...
cheers, john |

| Just checked the Raven forum and John G. recently (Oct. 29th) posted that a US/Europe release for WALK THROUGH FIRE is "currently in the works" and that "details are being sorted out." He promises that there'll be more info soon. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"
