Excellent review Shawn, I agree completely (Shawn's should always agree anyway). I've been thinking about writing a review of this as well, if I get inspired I'll post it here.

One thing I would note is that this album is not "Dehumanizer Part 2", there is alot more variety in sound to this record. Neverwhere would fit on Mob Rules easily. Rock N Roll Angel has a shaky start, but once it reaches the mid-section it's damn near perfect and contains Iommi's best solo on the album.

Good review, I've had a couple of weeks or so for this album to stew and brew in my ears and it is a very good album. As I have saids before Double The Pain is my fave with that great Geezer intro riff only to be reinforced by Iommi (talk about heavy). Yes, most of it is slow to mid tempo but it works well,Dio sounds damn good, folks.

you can listen to the entire album for free on VH1 site. I will wait for the cd to arrive, and give it a proper listen.

Dude, it is SO good!!!

The album is awesome, but is it just me or does the main solo on Breaking Into Heaven (last track) sound like it was just pasted into the song? The tempo of course changes when it comes to that part but the transition just seems so awkward to me for some reason.

(that's really the only complaint I have which shows you just how awesome the disc really is)

Yea, I'm still liking this release. I found myself humming songs from it when it wasn't even on. It's burrowed into my brain.

I'm enjoying it, although it's so oppressive in its sound that sometimes when my mood isn't right I find I can't bring myself to listen to it I'm finding the only track that doesn't quite work for me consistently is Turn of the Screw.

Even though it's been a few weeks now, I think it's worth mentioning that "The Devil You Know" debuted at Number 8 on the Billboard album charts! That's quite an achievement for a band who isn't even using their original name anymore.

I like it, though I think the new Iron Man album is a lot better. They've definitely got that Master Of Reality vibe, with maybe a dash of The Obsessed.

"Bible Black" is a great song and video! 10/10
