| I just spun this one the other day for the first time in a couple of months, and yep... me still likee. :metal: Hearing U.A. also got me off on a Megadeth kick so I've been carrying their entire discography around with me and listening to'em at work since then. Right now RUST IN PEACE is up. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| We have sex with more dead threads here and I notice FF was first in line on this one. UA was really good, not up to their top years but very listenable. I feel dirty. |

| I just listened to this one again last week and it sounds just as good to me as the day I bought it. |

Sorry. Next time I'll start an all new thread about an album that we all discussed in a thread six months previously, giving all the search function lovers a chance to beat me over the head and then direct me to the original thread. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| I love this album. :metal:
Every song on it was a winner, except for the A Tout Le Monde remake. Didn't fit the album at all. |

| "Burnt Ice" is a wicked song. I think the album captures a lot of the Rust in Peace sound. It sounds like Megadeth is hungry again, hungry for metal! |

| It's funny how when people praise Megadeth, they do so by trashing Metallica, and vice versa. Believe me folks, karma does not exist. |

Can't argue with that. Back in the late 90s early 00s I remember Dave saying that his main focus in writing music was to make money. He said that if Megadeth didn't make him enough money he would diband them. This soured me to him (I believe that if you don't do it for the love of music then you shouldn't be in it) and after Youthanasia I gave up on Megadeth. In a recent interview I read in Metal Edge (around the time of UA's release) that basically his passion for music is back and that is what feuls him (not the money). |

That's good to hear. It's interesting that Dave said that. I can see that with Cryptic Writings and Risk, but I think The World Needs A Hero is awesome. I've always felt that album was where they started to make their way back to the real metal. |

You can enjoy THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED and UNITED ABOMINATIONS but you can't enjoy St.ANGER |

I thought it was one of the best songs on the album! The only song that I didn't like was You're dead. |

| This album... not quite on a stick as Trivium's whole career is... that band will never be mentioned in any same context as teh Deth...butttt.... this is pretty abysmal. Except for 2 or 3 really good songs. 'Washington is Next' is beyond killer. But the title track makes me want to tear my face off in anguish. |

Man, I'd hate to hear what you would do to yourself after hearing a Britney Spears song! On the serious side, that is one of my favorite tracks on the album. |

| I can't understand any true Deth fan not enjoying this one. It's thrashy, melodic, and the guitarist is canadian. |
