Brian "Head" Welch
I got this CD from a friend and its really good. As most here already know (I saw the thread in R.I.P.) he was a guitarist for Korn. He is now a born again Christian and released this solo album over a year ago now. I've never listened to Korn so I can't compare the two. But...would make sense that there are similarities.

I've never cared for numetal at all but I find the creativity in these songs interesting and diverse. I don't think you could classify this as numetal anyway. It's almost prog metal or even industrial? He has a very good singing voice and a wide range of vocals. From core screams, hard vocals too soothing clean vocals. There's allot on display here. I'd say the guitar playing is probably even with the amount of electronic keys. Not to say the guitar is bad, it's not. This is a very deep listen and man, I really like it. Powerful lyrics and a powerful testimony. It's been on my iPod now for over a month without being bumped! I really like the raw emotion and desperate feel to it. I also like the guy hurling into a toilet with a party in the background! Classic!

Did anybody else give this one a chance? What did you think? Pick it up if you haven't. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

These are the lyrics to the title track "Save Me From Myself". This man is extremely transparent and honest regarding his past. There are some awesome interviews on his myspace page. Good videos. He's a single dad raising a little girl too.

These lyrics right here are probably my favorite from the CD. The song is "Money". Almost creepy considering all the greed we have all seen the last year.
