King's X playing an amazing, blistering set at Jaxx in Springfield, VA last night. The show was amazing, the band was tight as ever!!! The set list was as follows:

Grove Machine
Alright
Pleiades
Move
What Is This?
Lost In Germany
Black Flag
Pray
Dogman
Go Tell Somebody
Looking For Love
Summerland
Goldilox
Over my head

Encore:
It's Love
We were born to be loved

An amazing set list with the classics plus songs from the latest album. The only unfortunate thing about the show was the club was less than 1/4 full - the turnout was really poor. Some of the people at the show thought it was because they had just played at Jaxx 4 months ago.

Since Jaxx is small, everywhere in the club has a great view of the stage - here's some pics:

It was great to meet the band afterwards - they were really cool about meeting the fans! The one upside to the show having such limited attendance was that everyone at the show was a King's X fanatic!

Great pics!!! They are playing in Charlotte,NC on the 19th. I'm hoping to make it out to that show. Every time I've seen KIng's X there has been a great turnout. It sucks the turnout wasn't so good there.

I decided to skip my Aug7 show in Raleigh...they're my favorite band but A- I've seen them 6 times and B- I just spent a ton of $$ seeing DREAM THEATER & BIGELF recently and it just didn't seem as big a priority...

Judging by the set list, it looks like all the same songs I've heard them do over and over except the new stuff...

I've seen them do every one of those songs more than once...

They were opening for DT on the Progressive Nation 2009 Tour along w/ SCALE TE SUMMIT and ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA...

BIGELF was amazing!! They tore the place up!! The frontman wears this top hat and plays 2 keyboards at once (one on his right, and one on his left)...they sounded like a blend of Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Queen and Black Sabbath! Amazing stuff!! I need to take a pic sporting my BIGELF shirt!

Cool stuff and great pictures! You can never go wrong with a Kings X show. The band is always spot on and fortunately or unfortunately they play the smallest venues for the intamacy and meet and greets. As stated above love love love KX and have seen them almost every time they come through Seattle.
The tightest and coolest band ever!! Bar none.
