Tracklisting - 6/10
Packaging - 9/10
Liner Notes - 4/10
Overall - 6.5/10

Review - Well here it is, Megadeth's boxset. When I first got it, I had to say I was very impressed with the coverart. The bullets pop out, its actually plastic instead of cardboard there. The inside, well... the only annoying part, which caused me to dock a point is they decided to employ the space saving 1 CD on top of the other format... annoying if you want the put them all back or get a certain CD.

The tracklisting, decent enough. While its most a glorified best-of collection I do enjoy that dave was able to wade past label politics and include tracks from everything up to The System Has Failed. Hell! They even let him mention United Abominations! HOW BOUT THAT!

Well, when I first started collecting CDs, I collected everything with Megadeth's name on it... therefore some of the more appealing tracks to some of you are not so appealing to me. I already have all the imports so One Thing, Duke Nukem, New World Order and Coming Home are therefore a little worthless to me, except for the fact they are now all on the same disk... thats kinda cool... i'll probably sell my imports now.

The other unreleased tracks... slightly disappointing. The Anarchy/Problems Session take was pretty cool, The Holy Wars demo was interesting, Tornado of Souls and Five Magics almost sound exactly like the studio versions!

The inclusion of the live tracks from the various Skin O My Teeth singles is awesome, and as a bonus... they all flow toghter as live tracks.

Disk 4 is why I bought the set! Its a decent show, I enjoyed it a bit more then RA or the recent offering That One Night.

I haven't watched the DVD yet, and I don't know if I will for a few days, I don't have time to watch music.

Overall, a VERY good introduction to Megadeth, and if you don't collect imports and singles definatley something to buy... probably used unless you're impatient... I was impatient even tho I own a majority of the material here. What can I say, I love Megadeth!

I'm not too thrilled about the mix on That One Night, when I was singing along I could hear me over Dave.

Itrs not really the show I have a beef with, its the mixing. Dave sounds like hes singing from backstage.

I just reviewed it. I'm not that impressed. It's a solid album, but it doesn't have that powerful live sound. It's like another hits collection...with crowd noise. I'm thinking maybe the DVD would be better, seeing it may lend a more live feel to it. Who knows.

I'll listen to the DVD on my roommate's surround sound sometime next week and let you know.

I'm really on the fence about this one (Warchest, not That One Night...). I'm a big Megadeth fan, but I'm NOT a big fan of live releases. Maybe I'll just ask Santa to bring it and be pleasantly suprised on Christmas morn.

Hey Eyesore, the mix on the DVD is way better then on the CD. Granted i'm listening to it on a surround sound system instead of a regular stereo.

I got this recently. The live cd and DVD is worth it I think. I liked the DVD especially. Although it ticks me off because they have pretty much all of the songs on Hidden Treasures except Breakpoint is a session version. And it doesn't have Problems. I thought it had all of the songs on there at first. Although it DOES have the Duke Nukem song...but it's weird because they took out the part where Duke Nukem says, "Let's Rock". I LOVED that part and it was taken out! Overall though, I'd say it's a great set with some cool new live stuff and some songs not relesed in America or on any other Megadeth specific cd set yet. I enjoy it. Very Happy

I'm surprised they took the 'Let's Rock' out. Anyway, I intend to pick this box set up as it seems to fill the gaps of my Megadeth collection.

I did indeed find this under the Christmas tree. Thanks, Santa.

While I'm on the subject, I have a question about one of the unreleased tracks. Megadeth did a cover of the KISS song "Strange Ways" and in the liner notes, it says it was an outtake from the Kiss My Ass tribute disc that was released a few years back. Anyone know why this didn't make that release or did it show up on some non-US version? Cool version too, by the way.

I think the reason the Megadeth cover didn't make it on to Kiss My A** was due to label politics.
