There is a REAL MeTal band from Canada called Slaughter. Released material before this pop group of which you speak.

They were way better than the American Slaughter. Very cool band.

Some of you may know...I've been working backwards and trying to get some of the albums I missed in the 80's and 90's when secular music was "Say-tonic" (my Dad's pronunciation) and I picked up Slaughter - Fear No Evil on the cheap thanks to Stormspell.

It came out in 1995 so I wasn't sure what to expect being that's in the middle of that period.

Well, imagine my surprise when I pop this in and hear some nice flat out rockin 80's/early 90's style dirty, gritty Hair-ish (even Sleazy) metal!!

The vibe, attitude and sound of this album is perfect. The more I listen to it the more I love it. It's not smooth like Tyketto, American Angel, or the more well known "hair" bands of the time and it's not real dirty either but it's a surprisingly catchy album. Heavy and catchy! Melodic and dirty. Sweet!

Been lookin to grab this one for a while now. Thanks for the info, guys. Peace.
