| I was there with my little son; he is a big U.D.O. fan. We were a little bit early there, because we had no tickets for the show. That was good, because the concert hall was unlocked, so we were able to watch part of the sound check of U.D.O. At eight o’clock Primal Fear entered the stage. Alex Beyrodt played instead of Stefan Leibing who couldn’t play because of important family obligations. The show of Primal Fear was awesome. The audience in Frankfurt was marvellous and they supported the band very well. Primal Fear played songs from nearly all of their albums. The concert started like the album New Religion. They played Face the Emptiness and the Darkness trilogy from the new album and a lot of classics like Chainbreaker, Nuklear Fire, Seven Seals. The sound was very good and Ralf Scheepers controlled the hall perfect. The charisma of Matt Sinner is unbelievable. This is what I remember from the setlist: Sign Of Fear Rollercoster Running in the Dust Nuclear Fire Face the Emptiness Seven Seals Ironfist in a Velvet Clove New Religion Battalions of Hate Fighting the Darkness Metal is Forever Blood on your Hands Chainbreaker At 10 pm U.D.O. entered the stage. The last time that I saw Udo Dirkschneider on Metal Heart Tour with Accept in the mid of the eighties. He became a bit stout and immovable since then, but the voice is still the same. They played a lot of classics and absolutely the best was Metal Heart and the encore Balls to the Wall. Here is what I remember from the setlist: Mastercuter 24/7 Bullet and the Bomb We do For You Man & Machine Metal Heart Holy Balls to the Wall There was also a guitar solo by Igor and a drum solo. My son was very happy that he saw his heros on stage, but the best thing for him happened then. He caught the pic of Stefan Kaufmann. It was unbelievable for me, a 13 year old boy caught that what many others wanted… The setlist of U.D.O. was two or three songs less than Primal Fear. Udo is still a legend with an incredible voice. We saw a great show of two amazing bands this evening, but I must admit, that Primal Fear was the better band that evening in Frankfurt. |

Unfortunately they didn't. I would have liked to hear that as well... |
